KMTC Jobs: 678 Vacancies Announced Including 200 Nursing and 105 Clinical Medicine Posts

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has announced hundreds of job opportunities across its headquarters and campuses, opening applications to qualified and experienced candidates seeking employment within the institution.

KMTC announced a total of 678 vacancies in an advertisement published on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, as the institution moves to recruit staff across teaching, medical, administrative, technical and support departments.

The vacancies cover a wide range of positions, with some of the largest allocations targeting lecturers in medical and health-related disciplines.

In its recruitment notice, the KMTC Board of Directors said it was seeking to appoint “competent, result-oriented, knowledgeable, dynamic, visionary and experienced persons” to fill the vacant positions.

Among the positions advertised are five Senior Lecturer positions for dentists, 200 Lecturer II positions in Nursing and 105 Lecturer II positions in Clinical Medicine.

The college has also advertised 20 Lecturer II positions in Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine, five in Emergency Medical Technology, 20 in Community Health, 20 in Health Records and Information Technology and five in Medical Laboratory Sciences.

Other teaching vacancies include five Lecturer II positions in Public Health Sciences, 12 in Medical Engineering, 15 in Occupational Therapy, 15 in Nutrition, 20 in Radiography and Imaging and 15 in Physiotherapy.

KMTC is further seeking to recruit 10 Community Oral Health lecturers, five Optometry lecturers and 10 Librarian II officers.

More medical and technical positions advertised

The recruitment drive extends beyond academic positions, with the college also seeking personnel in several clinical, technical and support roles.

The advertised vacancies include five Orthopaedic Trauma Assistant III positions, two Orthopaedic Technologist III positions, five Pharmaceutical Technologist III positions and four Physiotherapy Assistant III positions.

KMTC has also listed five Registered Clinical Officer III positions and 10 Registered Nurse III positions.

Additional technical vacancies include five Medical Engineering Technologist III positions, five Medical Laboratory Technologist III positions, one Occupational Therapy Assistant III position and five Assistant Radiographer III/II positions.

The college has also announced vacancies in human resources, ICT, legal affairs, administration, communications, records management, maintenance, security, planning and supply chain management.

These include two Assistant Director, Human Resource Management positions, one Senior Assistant Director, ICT position and one Principal Legal Officer position.

There are also 15 Administrative Officer II positions, five Housekeeper II positions, 10 Assistant Housekeeper III positions and 10 Office Administrator II positions.

Communications, ICT and administrative jobs

For applicants with backgrounds outside the medical professions, KMTC has advertised several opportunities in corporate communication, human resources, ICT and records management.

The positions include 20 Assistant Office Administrator III jobs, 20 Corporate Communication Assistant III jobs and four Corporate Communication Officer II positions.

The college is also recruiting eight Human Resource Management Assistant III officers and three Information Communication Technology Officer II officers.

Other advertised positions include three Maintenance Assistant III jobs, two Maintenance Officer II positions, 20 Records Management Assistant III jobs and five Records Management Officer II positions.

KMTC has further listed three Security Assistant III positions, two Planning Officer II positions and 10 Supply Chain Management Officer II positions.

How to apply for KMTC jobs

Applicants interested in the vacancies have been directed to submit their applications online through the KMTC recruitment portal.

Candidates can access the recruitment system at recruit.kmtc.ac.ke/jobs and should ensure that they provide all information requested in the relevant job advertisement.

KMTC has warned applicants against submitting inaccurate information during the recruitment process.

“Applicants should provide all the details requested for in the advertisement. It is an offence to include incorrect information in the application,” the college stated.

The institution has also outlined additional clearance requirements for successful candidates.

Those selected will be required to provide clearances from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).

Successful applicants will also be required to submit a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) clearance and a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

Candidates interested in the KMTC positions have until Friday, October 30, 2026, to submit their applications.
