Andrew Kibe Agrees to Settle Feud With Peter Salasya in the Boxing Ring in Explosive Vurugu 3 Showdown

Andrew Kibe has confirmed he is ready to step into the ring with Mumias East MP Peter Salasya after accepting the politician’s challenge for a celebrity boxing bout at the Vurugu 3 event later this year.

The former radio presenter revealed his decision in a Facebook post on Wednesday, July 1, saying he would prepare for the contest only after Salasya signs a legally binding agreement to formalise the fight.

“I’ve decided to accept Ka Salasya’s offer to whoop his a$$. We do this in December to give me time to train, but only after he signs makalatas ndiyo naanza training.”

Kibe made it clear he wants all paperwork completed before beginning his preparations, saying he is determined to avoid any last-minute changes that could derail the contest.

The proposed showdown follows months of public sparring between the two on social media. Kibe has regularly criticised Salasya’s political approach, public appearances and lifestyle during his online broadcasts, while the MP has accused the former broadcaster of courting controversy to stay relevant.

Momentum behind the fight gathered pace last week when Salasya publicly challenged Kibe to meet him at Vurugu 3. The proposal quickly gained support from Obinna, who pledged to organise the event if Kibe agreed to take part.

“Your wish is my command. Talk to him to get him to accept the challenge. We start by putting KSh2 million in hard cash. I’m sure it can get to KSh5 million.”

Obinna also joked that Salasya had less need for the prize money than Kibe, adding fuel to the growing online debate surrounding the proposed bout.

With Kibe now confirming he is on board—subject to the signing of the agreement—the chances of the contest topping the bill at Vurugu 3, which is expected to take place in December 2026, have received a significant boost.
