Safaricom to Conduct Scheduled System Maintenance on April

Telecommunications giant Safaricom has announced that it will carry out a system maintenance exercise in the early hours of Monday, April 7, 2025.

According to a statement posted on the company’s official X account, the maintenance will take place between 1:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. The exercise is part of the company’s efforts to enhance system reliability, improve security, and deliver a superior customer experience.

Safaricom indicated that M-PESA services will be available intermittently during this 30-minute period. However, all other services—including voice calls, mobile data, and SMS—will continue to operate normally.

The company added that the timing of the maintenance has been carefully selected to cause minimal disruption to customers. They also thanked users for their continued support and understanding.

Safaricom regularly schedules such maintenance sessions to ensure smooth and secure operations for its millions of subscribers across Kenya. Customers are encouraged to stay updated through the company’s official website and social media channels.
