Kitui Man Strangles and Kills 9-Month-Old Daughter Before Dumping Body
Authorities in Kitui County are searching for a middle-aged man who allegedly strangled and killed his nine-month-old daughter before dumping her body in a pit latrine. The shocking incident occurred on Wednesday night at Ikanga Market in Mutomo sub-county.
Domestic Dispute Turns Deadly
According to Ikanga Location Chief Onesmus Mutaula, the suspect was reportedly involved in a domestic altercation with his wife before the tragic attack. In a brutal act of violence, he allegedly strangled the infant, slit her throat with a kitchen knife, and disposed of her body in a latrine.
Police Launch Investigation
Police officers at Ikanga Police Station have begun an investigation and are pursuing leads to apprehend the suspect. The body of the infant has since been transferred to Mutomo Level Four Hospital morgue for further examination.
Authorities have urged members of the public with any information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts to report to the nearest police station to aid in his swift arrest.
