Bomet Tragedy: Man Beheads His Two Children in Horrific Incident
A horrifying crime has shocked residents of Tach Asis area in Konoin, Bomet County, after a 35-year-old man allegedly beheaded his two children in cold blood. The children, aged 2 and 7, were reportedly attacked inside their home with a kitchen knife, according to police.
Mother Discovers the Bodies
Authorities say the suspect’s wife was not at home during the incident. She reportedly returned to find bloodstains that led her to the kitchen, where she discovered the lifeless bodies of her children. Police confirmed that the suspect had placed the bodies in the kitchen after the brutal attack.
Police were alerted immediately and responded to the scene, recovering what is believed to be the murder weapon. The suspect was apprehended and is currently being held for interrogation as investigators try to establish the motive behind the gruesome killings.
Bomet County Police Commandant Edward Imbwaga confirmed the suspect used a kitchen knife, and the bodies were moved to Kapkatet Hospital Mortuary for postmortem.
Violence Cases Across the Country
In a separate case in Nairobi’s Railways Estate, a middle-aged man was found dead with an arrow lodged in his throat. Police believe he was killed at the scene and are treating the case as murder. His body was discovered in a pool of blood, and no suspects have been arrested so far.
Meanwhile, in Ojimbo area of Makadara, another male body was found near the local railway line. The victim had visible strangulation marks believed to have been caused by a jumper cord, along with head injuries from a blunt object. The deceased remains unidentified as investigations continue.
In Ongata Rongai, Kajiado County, a woman is recovering from serious stab wounds to her breasts following a domestic altercation. Police say the suspect, known to the victim, has been arrested and is expected to be charged. He admitted to authorities that the assault stemmed from a domestic dispute.
These chilling incidents have raised alarm over increasing violence and mental health concerns across the country. Police are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity as investigations continue.
