Nairobi Water Explains How Residents Can Check Their Water Supply Schedule
The Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) has urged residents to familiarise themselves with their area’s water supply schedule, saying doing so will help households and businesses plan ahead and manage their daily water needs more effectively.
In a public notice issued on Thursday, July 23, 2026, the utility company said understanding designated supply days allows customers to prepare in advance by storing enough water for essential activities, including cooking, cleaning, bathing and drinking.
“Knowing your water supply day helps you plan ahead, store water responsibly and manage your household needs,” Nairobi Water stated.
The company said residents can access the equitable water distribution programme through its website to determine when water is expected in their estate or neighbourhood. The published timetable outlines supply days for different areas across Nairobi, enabling consumers to plan their water usage more efficiently.
According to Nairobi Water, customers simply need to locate their estate on the published distribution schedule to identify the expected day of supply.

The utility provider also appealed to customers to report any supply interruptions if water fails to reach their area on the scheduled day.
Residents experiencing such disruptions have been advised to contact the company’s toll-free customer care line for assistance.
“If your area does not receive water as scheduled, report a supply failure by calling our toll-free customer care line: 0800 724 366,” the utility company directed.
Knowing the supply timetable can help households avoid being caught off guard by water interruptions. Families are encouraged to fill storage tanks, jerry cans and other clean containers before supply ends, ensuring they have sufficient water until the next scheduled delivery.
The schedule is equally important for businesses that rely heavily on a consistent water supply, including restaurants, salons, car washes and laundries. Planning operations around designated supply days can reduce disruptions and minimise the need to purchase costly water from private vendors.
Nairobi Water also said following the distribution programme promotes responsible water use. Rather than wasting water during supply periods, residents are encouraged to store only the amount they require safely and use it efficiently until the next scheduled supply.
