Ruto to Kenyans: Judge Me by My Work in 2027

President William Ruto has urged Kenyans to evaluate his leadership based on his achievements by the time the 2027 elections arrive. Speaking at Njiru Junction on Friday, Ruto emphasized that it is the people who will ultimately decide the country’s leadership and insisted that he is committed to fulfilling his constitutional duties.

The President dismissed his critics, asserting that all leaders will be judged by their contributions to the nation when the elections come around.

“Let’s agree, my friends. It is now 2025, and the elections will be in 2027. You will decide based on the work that someone has done. Everyone should work hard. I will do my job. I will plan employment for these young people; your roads, water, classrooms—I will educate your children. Let’s meet in 2027 with those who have issues. You shall decide. People of Njiru, everyone will be judged by their work,” Ruto said.

During his address, the President reiterated his administration’s commitment to job creation and economic recovery. He was accompanied by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and other leaders as he outlined key development projects his government is spearheading.

Ruto’s speech in Njiru was part of his five-day development tour of Nairobi City County, during which he commissioned various infrastructure projects and inspected ongoing initiatives. These tours, he said, are part of his broader strategy to decentralize development and bring progress to all parts of Kenya.

The President has already conducted extensive development tours in the North Eastern, Coast, and Western Kenya regions. His next stop is scheduled to be in the Mt. Kenya region, where he is expected to launch and inspect more government projects.

As 2027 draws closer, Ruto’s message to Kenyans remains clear—judge his leadership based on his track record, not political rhetoric.
