“We Are Sorry” Apologies From Citizen TV After Airing UDA News

A technical glitch that occurred as a result of confusion in the news resulted in Citizen TV is required to issue an apology. In the footage that was shared by Citizen TV on its Twitter handle, news anchor Lilian Muli was made to apologize after the station aired a rally in Kilifi for Deputy President William Samoei Arap Ruto instead of the Western region rally for Azimio Presidential Candidate Hon Raila Amolo Odinga.

They showed Deputy President William Ruto’s rally in Kilifi County, where the UDA Presidential Candidate was flanked by various leaders, instead of Raila Amolo Odinga’s rallies in Bungoma County, which resulted in Lilian Muli having to issue an apology.

As soon as they realized their error, the 9 pm News was cut short, and Lilian Muli apologized and promised to come back to the topic at a later time.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by the technical glitch; we will be looking into it very soon. Lilian Muli Said

This is the error that caused Citizen TV to have to issue an apology.
