Fresh details have emerged that the Maendeleo Chap Chap Party Leader Alfred Mutua has secretly been meeting former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in demanding a favor from him a move that initiated his exit from the Azimio la Umoja.
According to a report via the Nation, it has been established that Governor Mutua has been on the neck of the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission over misuse of public funds a move that has been threatening his peace.
It has been established that before Mutua could meet Raila Odinga secretly requested him to intervene in his graft case to ensure that he does not get arrested, only for the Azimio Presidential candidate to reject his plea.
Rattled by Odinga’s bold stand, Mutua decided to frustrate the ODM leader by switching camps a move that led to his exit from the Azimio coalition on claims that he has been denied access to some of the crucial documents they signed.
Raphael Tuju has also confirmed saying that “There are some governors with graft cases in court who wanted their ongoing cases ‘sorted’. That cannot happen. If you have any cases face them on your own. If that is what you want, then we don’t want your support.”
However, in response, Governor Mutua has responded by informing that “All false. They are trying t fight me because of my stand. Like their plans of exclusion, they will; fail.”
