Celebrated Kenyan musician Jacob Obunga popularly known as Otile Brown is the first Kenyan musician to hit a Million Subscribers on YouTube. The artist who also doubles as a songwriter, guitarist and actor was all smiles when he was awarded the coveted Gold creator Award on YouTube. The self-proclaimed King of R&B gained media attention after the release of his hit single “Imaginary Love” where he features Kenya’s, Khaligraph Jones.
He released his debut studio album, Best of Otile Brown, in April 2017. The album was boosted by the singles “Basi”, “Alivyonipenda”, “Shujaa Wako”, “Deja Vu” and “Aiyolela”. Otile’s music is cherished not only in the East African country but globally. He has made collaborations with artists such as Barakah The Prince whom they released Niseme Nawe that garnered more than 2 million views on YouTube, Chaguo la Moyo where he featured songstress Sanaipei Tande, raking over 29 million views on YouTube, and Dusuma where he featured Meddy bagging over 32 million views.
He also has released songs featuring King Kaka among others.
