Funeral Drama As Vocal MP Is Beaten Up For Allegedly Mocking BBI After Court Stopped ‘Reggae’ (Video)

A viral video is making rounds on social media, showing a vocal Tangatanga Member of Parliament being roughed up by angry mourners after he allegedly tried to mock BBI supporters. Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa today attended two different funerals in Kabuchai Constituency before being roughed up by mourners in one of the ceremonies who grabbed his microphone while he was addressing them.

The lawmaker was heard saying “mahali mko, muanze kujipanga, mkusanye virago vyenu mpotee (wherever you are, start getting ready, collect your belongings and leave)” amid heckles from the audience. One mourner is then seeing heading towards the MP before he was seen hitting him and grabbing the microphone. Angry Barasa is also seen trying the fightback before other mourners stopped him. Barasa had earlier confirmed that he had attended the burial of an elderly woman said to be a champion of education in the village.

“Attended the final send-off of Mayi Martha Nafula Satia at Mukhweya village, Kabuchai Constituency. We celebrate her life well lived because Mayi was an ardent champion of education to a level she earned herself a nick name”Omukhana wa University”,” he tweeted.
