Comedian Prof Hamo Fired From Hot 96 FM, Details
Hot 96 radio show host and comedian Herman Gakobo Kago alias Prof Hamo has left the Royal Media Services (RMS) owned station. A source at the media house intimated to our news desk that the comedian left the radio station about a week ago. The source disclosed that Hamo stepped down from his role at Hot 96 after an internal memo banning employees from running campaigns or appearing on billboards for clients.
Prof Hamo hosted the morning breakfast show on Hot 96 alongside veteran journalist Jeff Koinange. This comes barely a month after the “baby daddy” drama where he is accused of being a deadbeat father by comedian Jemutai Chibambe. Jemutai had alleged that the comedian had failed to support her, after siring two children together. “Hamo no longer works for the station. We however wish him the best in all his endeavours,” the source stated.
On May 11, Jemutai released DNA test results, indicating that Prof Hamo is the father of her children at 99.9 per cent. The drama between the two had called for the intervention of Daniel “Churchill” Ndambuki who called for calm as they find a solution to the issue. Jemutai had earlier sought to sell her Facebook account at Ksh1.7 million to get money for raising her children.
