J Blessing’s Baby Mama Laika Welcomes Child with Mzungu Hubby

Songstress Laika and her mzungu professional runner husband are excited after welcoming their first child together. The two have been married for close to three years now. Laika, whose first child was fathered by J Blessing, posted a photo of her newborn child accompanied by a sweet message, which read: “On May 3, 2021, we received the newest addition to our family. Baby Amelie Nuru Edwards. Thanks to family and friends for the kind wishes throughout the pregnancy journey! Our little light, as that’s what Nuru means in Swahili is already fitting into our lives perfectly.” Her excited husband, Myles Edwards, also shared photos of their daughter, explaining the meaning of his name and why he chose it.

“Welcome to the world, Amelie Nuru Edwards. I am beyond proud and in awe of Mary @officiallaikakenya for bringing our little light into the world on Monday 3rd May. Dahlia is already the best big sister and we are so thankful that they both have the most amazing gran.We chose ‘Amelie’ so that my dad’s name is part of her as she grows up. We know he’d be so thrilled. ‘Nuru’ means ‘light’ in Swahili and so with Dahlia’s middle name ‘Imani’ meaning ‘hope’, we now have so much hope and light in our lives to be grateful for,” Edwards posted. A few days ago, Laika’s family and friends from all over the world surprised her with a virtual baby shower, leaving the songstress all emotional. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, Laika’s friends held a virtual baby shower for her to minimise the possible spread of the virus. Laika shared a video of herself in front of her laptop while following the proceedings of her own baby shower and could not help but get teary all through the session.
