Late Congolese musician Christian Longomba has been laid to rest in the US, The multi-talented artist was buried in Los Angeles, California in the United States on Thursday, March 18. News about the burial had earlier been shared by one of his brothers who are in Kenya, Richie Longomba, during an interview with Willy M Tuva. Christian’s brother Lovy who has been with him during his journey shared photos from the burial ceremony through his Instagram account followed by a touching caption.
Lovy thanked God for Christian even as he went back to be with Him in heaven. ”Thank you Lord Jesus for the life of your servant & my brother Christian Longomba. He was always yours and now he has returned unto you. Glory and honour belong to you now & forever. Abba comfort the family & his faithful supporters, Amen,” the captioned read.
We understands the burial was attended by Christian’s family and friends, without forgetting celebrities such as King Kanja. During the burial, an emotional Lovy led late Christian’s two children in releasing white doves as one of their burial tradition. Lovy’s photos from the burial moved many people including local celebrities who camped on the comments section of his post to condole with him and his family. The burial came just a week after Christian’s death. The late musician died on Saturday, March 13, breaking the hearts of many of his fans. He succumbed to a brain tumour while in the US where he had relocated to be with his brother Lovy Longomba.
Well, his death may have hit his fans pretty hard but the people who were hurt even more were his family members, including his brother Richie, who recently spoke to the media about Christian’s journey through sickness. According to Richie, Longombas family’s spokesperson, doctors who performed Christian’s surgeries had given the star only two years to live from 2015, when they performed his first surgery. Richie revealed that following Christian’s death, doctors told the family they were surprised he even surpassed the two years they thought were his maximum. However, this was information that the medical experts kept from Christian’s family until his death.
