19-Year-Old Wife of Sadio Mane Gives Birth
Senegalese football star Sadio Mane has become a father for the first time, celebrating the birth of his baby girl with his wife, Aisha Tamba. The Al-Nassr forward marked the occasion with a heartwarming goal dedication during his team’s 3-1 victory over Al-Kholood on Friday.
A Special Celebration on the Field
During the match, Mane scored Al-Nassr’s second goal and celebrated by rocking his arms, symbolizing his joy at becoming a father. His club, Al-Nassr, later confirmed the birth with a congratulatory video shared on social media, featuring Mane reciting a verse from the Quran:
“Wealth and children are the adornments of this worldly life, but the everlasting good deeds are far better with your Lord in reward and in hope.”
The video was captioned: “A new blessing for Sadio Mane! Wishing him and his family endless joy… May Allah guide her to righteousness and make her one of His faithful servants.”
Love Story and New Beginnings
Mane, 32, married the then 18-year-old Aisha Tamba in January 2024 in an Islamic ceremony held in Keur Massar, Dakar, just days before the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The couple had kept their relationship private until their wedding, which was attended by family, friends, and football colleagues.
At the time they met, Tamba was still a student, and Mane reportedly promised to marry her early in their relationship. Fourteen months later, they are now celebrating their first child together.
Mane’s Dream of a Big Family
The former Liverpool and Southampton striker has previously expressed his desire for a large family. In an interview, he shared his hopes of having three or four children, though he acknowledged that the final decision is in God’s hands.
“If it were just my choice, I’d say three or four. But God decides, and I will thank Him no matter what. Whatever the number, I will accept it.”
Al-Nassr’s Title Race
Mane’s goal was crucial for Al-Nassr as they continue their pursuit of Saudi Pro League leaders Al-Ittihad, who hold a 10-point advantage. With nine games remaining, Al-Nassr will need a perfect finish to keep their title hopes alive.
Mane’s journey continues to inspire both on and off the pitch, and his latest milestone as a father adds a beautiful chapter to his life and career.
